Presentation

In the town of Martigues, a rumour is spreading, a monster is being invented that no one is going to stop! In every district, it takes on its colours, from odds and ends, it is born without fright.
Martégaux, Martégales, each and every one of you will be putting your own spin on it, using feathers, wheels, cardboard, a bit of nothing.

‘They say he dances, he screams, he's beautiful, a modern-day monster, half beast, half hero!
‘Have you seen him? No ? Not yet...’

In the streets, hammers and songs resound, it slowly comes to life, following the passions.
We glue, we sculpt, we invent a head, a strange being, for a perfect party.

On 29 March, before our astonished eyes, it will emerge and the carnival madness will begin! So get your costumes and smiles ready: this monster is us, our desire to get together.

- 2pm to 4pm: Exuberant Carnival Village to get ready for the party in the Jardin de Ferrières
- 4pm: Exhilarating parade - from Ferrières to the Island
- 5pm: Ending up in a monster brothel!
