Presentation

The Martigues media library is organising two lectures on the theme of astronomy in March. An opportunity to learn more about our solar system.
- 10am: Building the Solar System from A to Z. Lecture given by Sarah ANDERSON, doctor at the Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory.
Where do planets come from? Why are they round? Why is Jupiter so big? Embark on a journey through time and discover the fascinating process that transformed a nebula of gas and dust into our Solar System.
Registration required.

- 2pm: Life in the outer Solar System? Lecture by Vincent HUE, Professor at the Institut Origines-Aix-Marseille University.
Ever since the discovery of active worlds around giant planets, scientists have been trying to answer the question: Could life exist there? Embark on a contemporary exploration of the outer solar system.
