The Louis Aragon Central Media Library:
Built in 1981, the library boasts an original architectural design thanks to the layout of its spaces. An expansion in 2004 increased its surface area to 3,600 square meters.
The Louis Aragon Municipal Media Library, a place of culture, knowledge, and leisure, is above all a welcoming space for sharing and exchange, open to all.
The selection of its new program for the coming weeks and months, detailed throughout these pages, perfectly reflects its mission as a multi-purpose cultural center.

Built on concrete stilts driven into spongy subsoil, the media library features an original architectural design (by Emile Pamart) through the layout of its spaces and the use of traditional materials such as brick and wood.
The Martigues library network also includes a branch in the Canto-Perdrix district, a bookmobile, satellite libraries in community centers and senior residences throughout the city, a home delivery service for books, a "Reading Territory" service dedicated to residents of these neighborhoods, and a rich cultural program throughout the year. The libraries welcome 100,000 visitors annually and have over 10,000 registered users with valid library cards.
