Presentation

Located in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, a stone’s throw from the Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins, the 18th century ‘Hôtel de Gallifet’ provides a unique hub for all those who are passionate about contemporary art.
Gallifet is a contemporary art centre situated in an 18th century mansion in the Mazarin district of Aix-en-Provence. With three major exhibitions each year, Gallifet presents the works of artists and artisans who seek to explore the major issues of our epoch. From June to October each year, the ‘Gallifet Kitchen’ restaurant serves lunch, supper and drinks in the art centre’s vast shaded garden. Each summer a changing roster of chefs prepare local, fresh ingredients in a glorious exterior setting. Gallifet brings together lovers of food, wine and contemporary art and provides a welcome, peaceful respite from the hubbub of the city centre.
