Presentation

The chapel of the Annonciade is offering a workshop to help you discover the flowers that are everywhere in the Annonciade: on the walls, on the stalls, on the ceiling and on the painted altarpiece. Free, registration recommended. For families.
This new workshop invites children to see and smell roses, lilies and many other flowers depicted in the gilded decor of the Baroque chapel, by associating them with the perfumes of the Grand Siècle.
Children will discover the chapel's floral decor and the associated fragrances, before creating their own flower with multicoloured petals.

Info + :
In 1702-1703, Claude and Étienne Darbon created the wooden altarpiece and its majestic high altar decorated in trompe-l'œil.
Listed as a historic monument in 1910, the chapel is located in Martigues town centre (Jonquières district), behind the church of St Genest. It was built in the 17th century for the brotherhood of white penitents.
Opening period (s)Thursday 10 July 2025 between 2 pm and 3.30 pm.
