The team at the Galerie de l'histoire de Martigues offer children aged 8 and over discovery and creative leisure workshops on a different theme every month.
2026–2027 Program:
- Wednesday, October 21 at 2:00 PM: Martigues Imprints.
A creative architecture workshop. After observing the geometric shapes that make up local structures, children will use a variety of stamps to recreate the facades of familiar buildings in the city. Ages 7–12.
- Wednesday, December 9 at 2:00 PM: Setting the Table.
After examining the rich 17th-century tableware discovered during the restoration of the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines, children will decorate their own plate and recreate a table setting just as it would have appeared in that era. Ages 7–12.
- Friday, February 26 at 2:00 PM: Writing Like in the Old Days.
Discover the history of writing in this introductory calligraphy workshop, where you can try out historical writing tools and create your own bookmark. Ages 9 and up.
