Centre for Ancient Archaeology - Hôtel de Sade
Museum Sciences and technology ArcheologicalPresentation
The Hôtel de Sade is an archaeological museum: it was originally occupied by a vast thermal complex dating from the 4th century A.D., gradually revealed thanks to the various excavation campaigns conducted since the 1940s.
The Museum, located in a Renaissance hotel on the square opposite the Museum of the Alpilles Favier, contains archaeological furniture found at Glanum, an important statuary and a lapidary abundant, consisting of architectural elements, funerary steles and altars votive of time celto-ligure, Hellenistic and Roman. Its visit perfectly complements the discovery of the Gallo-Roman site. Entries are free the first Sunday of each month from October to April
