The Martigues Tourist Office has been aware since 2005 of welcoming people with disabilities in the town. It obtained the "Tourism & Handicap" state mark for 3 large families with disabilities in 2015, renewed in 2021.
In 2021, the Martigues Tourist Office obtained the mark for the 4th category of disability: visual disability.

Tourism & Handicap" brand undertaken by the Tourist Office is to offer people with disabilities the autonomy to which they aspire. Thus, the Tourist Office is committed to providing reliable information and an effective response to the specific needs of its customers who want to be able to choose and enjoy their holidays in complete freedom and peace of mind.
This brand guarantees an efficient welcome adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. It bears witness to the effort made by the city to make public places accessible for several years.
The residence counselors are trained and made aware of the reception of people with disabilities, thus providing a personalized welcome according to each request.
