A commemorative plaque in the Île-de-France district also celebrates the memory of the illustrious martgal whose statue stands on the facade of the Saint-Genest church in Jonquières.
Blessed Gérard Tenque (1040-1120) is from Martigues, he founded the Saint Jean de Jerusalem hospital.
He is the founder of the Order of Hospitallers known as Malta.
