Safety of Côte Bleue beaches

From June 1 until September 30, sanitary monitoring
of bathing water will be provided by the Municipality in conjunction with the
Regional Health Agency ,
on all public spaces open to swimming, on the coast. Mediterranean as on the Etang de Berre.

The results of the samples taken will be displayed at the first-aid stations
and on panels accessible to the public in the areas concerned.

 
Carro La Couronne

Carro Beach 

Carro beach, located near the port, is half sand and half pebble, not very large but enough to accommodate families and surfers who come, when the winds allow it, to face some waves in its waters. 

The beach is supervised every day from June 28 to August 29, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

First aid station: 07 64 88 33 74. 
Blind guide dogs access only. 
Equipped with a water access ramp for people with reduced mobility.

Saulce beach - Sainte-Croix

It is a charming beach of fine golden sand, supervised in summer and having all the amenities, sanitary facilities, bars, restaurants ... 

The beach is supervised the first weekend in June
and then every day from June 12 to August 29. 


- The first weekend of June from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
- From June 12 to August 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Couronne

Verdon beach

Verdon beach is a beautiful beach of 300m, made of sand and therefore very popular with the inhabitants of Martigues. 
Protected by a large cove which shelters it from the wind, it has all the necessary facilities for coming with the family. 
Supervised beach, equipped toilets, bars and restaurants nearby. 


The beach is supervised the first weekend of June
and then every day from June 12 to August 29.

- From June 12 to August 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Laurons Beach

Laurons Beach

Sandy and pebble beach.
Laurons beach in Martigues is a very small beach near the port of the same name. Made of sand, pebbles but also lawns, it is on the Sentier du Littoral route and accessible to all.


The beach is supervised every day from June 28 to August 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Ferrières Martigues Beach

Ferrières Beach

The sandy beach located on the edge of the Etang de Berre and in the heart of Martigues town center, is certified "Eaux de Baignade", recognition of the actions undertaken by the municipality for the management of a swimming site.

The beach is supervised on weekends in June
and then every day from June 28 to August 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Discover Ferrières beach

The municipal decrees in force regulating the use of beaches and laying out a marking plan for
the town of Martigues in the Mediterranean coastal strip and the
300-meter Berre pond can be consulted at the first-aid stations. 

Failure to comply with this regulation is liable to a fine. 
 
   
Pets are not allowed on the beach, even on a leash, with the exception of dogs intended to help people with disabilities. 
The practice of team sports likely to disturb the peace of others is prohibited, except on the facilities set up by the City, provided for this purpose. 
Any incandescent material contained in a receptacle is prohibited.
Barbecues and fires are strictly prohibited on the beaches or in the immediate vicinity. 
The use of glass or materials liable to break into sharp-edged pieces is not permitted. 
Sound distribution devices such as amplifiers, radios, microphones cannot be used on the beaches. 
Beach markings must be respected, swimming must be practiced only in areas reserved for this purpose.
