DAY 1 ARRIVAL - COTE BLEUE

12pm: arrive in Martigues
Have lunch in a restaurant in the city centre.
2pm: your guide meets you at the restaurant.
Visit MARTIGUES, also known as “Provençal Venice” with canals and colourful houses.
Discover listed sites like the Miroir aux Oiseaux, a chosen spot for painters and photographers, the Cathédrale de la Madeleine, a superb Baroque church, the archaeological display case, and more.
Explore the Côte Bleue and discover its gems: Carro, the fishing village, La Couronne, the former quarrymen’s village, then Sausset Les Pins and the seaside resort of Carry Le Rouet and the city of Fernandel.
6pm: Return to Martigues. Settle into your 3* hotel in the city centre. Evening meal and night.

DAY 2: LE  LUBERON

   Breakfast at the hotel.
9am: Meet your guide in Martigues and head for the Luberon regional park famous for its many villages, usually built with local stones.
About 10.30am: arrive at the Fontaine de Vaucluse, one of the world’s largest natural resurgences, explored to 315 metres.
Enjoy a peaceful climb to the Source, a romantic site which inspired the poet Petrarch. You will also discover the underground where a paper mill which used traditional paper-making methods and Provençal boutiques with santons, local sweets, perfume and crystal objects.
12.30pm: Have lunch nearby.                                 
2pm: In the afternoon, stop in Gordes, one of France’s most beautiful villages perched on a rocky spur, completely rebuilt with stone huts.
Finally, explore the stunning ochre quarries with hues ranging from immaculate white, through hot yellows and oranges, to bright and purplish reds.
7pm: Return to Martigues for the evening meal and night.

DAY 3: MARSEILLE – CASSIS   “Land and Sea”

Breakfast.
8.30am: Meet your guide and head for MARSEILLE. Arrive via La Joliette. Take a panoramic coach tour of the different neighbourhoods of Marseille, Vieux Port, La Corniche and the statue of David and more.
Return to the Vieux Port and board the small tourist train.
This tour goes from the old port to Notre Dame de la Garde via the cliff road along the coast. Discover  stunning sites including Fort Saint Jean and Fort Saint Nicolas, the Palais du Pharo, Abbaye St Victor, the breathtaking view from the Pont de la Fausse Monnaie, and Château Valmer and the famous Vallon des Auffes.
Admire the islands in the background: Ile du Frioul and Ile du Château d'If.
The train turns off towards the Vallon de l'Oriol where magnificent mansions cling to the hillside.
Then climb to an altitude of 162 metres where the Bonne Mère watches over Marseille and the local population.
Behold the majestic spectacle. The 360° panoramic view will take your breath away.
Pause to rest as long as you like. Trains stop every 30 minutes. Head back down into the city and pass by the famous Ferry-Boat on the Vieux Port.
12.30pm: Lunch in a restaurant on the Vieux Port.
2pm: After lunch, board the coach again. Arrival in CASSIS and transfer to a little tourist train in the port.
It’s time for a tour of the sumptuous CASSIS coves. During this guided tour, you will discover the most beautiful sights of the CASSIS coast.
This majestic site has been chiselled by erosion out of the rocks with infinite creativity, leaving a priceless heritage.
Free time to buy some local southern products in this magnificent small Provençal port.
6pm: Return to Martigues, drop off your guide and return to your hotel.
