THE MUSIC FADAS are the musical expression that makes the great values of the Fadas du Monde resonate throughout Martigues!
Cumbia - merengue - caribbean music.
This percussive-vocal trio represents the culture of the Colombian Caribbean with a unique and innovative formula. La Perla draws from Bullengue, Cumbia, Merengue, Gaita and Creole Champeta, these are deep voices and percussion played with a strong rock attitude.
La Perla, formed in 2014 during the Ovejo Festival, from where they left with the first prize and a determination to continue as a group. The three Bogatanas have traveled Colombia from the countryside to the Caribbean, exploring the multiple musical languages, and incorporating them into their own creations, while singing their social concerns, denouncing political problems, racial injustice and sexual discrimination. Their 2017 debut EP, Paren La Bulla (Stop the Noise), and Netflix's use of the title, Bruja (Witch), in the "Siempre Bruja" series, garnered international attention and touring opportunities in America. and in Europe with great success.
During the pandemic, La Perla has made several successful collaborations with international artists (Nubya Garcia, Mexican Institute of Sound, Chinese Man records...) and prepared their long-awaited 1st album, scheduled for spring 2022!
