Le Palace cinema in Martigues invites you to discover an exceptional season of French comedy! This new season of the Comédie-Française at the cinema will open with La Puce à l'oreille by Feydeau.
Three shows will be shown on the big screen: The Flea in the Ear, King Lear and Twelfth Night or whatever you want. Filmed or live from the Salle Richelieu, French comedy comes directly to you!
- December 1, 2022 at 8 p.m.: The flea in the ear
Raymonde Chandebise suspects her husband of adultery. She sets a trap for him by meeting him anonymously at the Hôtel du Minet-Galant. Monsieur Chandebise answers the call by sending his faithful friend Tournel there, but he does not know that the floor boy, Poche, is his double. The hotel then becomes the scene of a gigantic farce where the mechanics of misunderstandings, lies and deceit get carried away without anyone being able to stop it...

The aging King Lear decides to divide his kingdom between his three daughters Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. The transfer of power is however subject to one condition: a declaration of love from each of them to their father. If Regan and Goneril give him the speech he was hoping for, Cordelia, his favorite, does not give in to the hypocrisy of his elders. Her daughter's restraint triggers Lear's anger who, humiliated, disinherits her...

But Césario/Viola, secretly seduced by the Duke, excels so well in his mission that the Countess falls in love with his ardour...
