A visit to discover a singular architectural object, installed on the banks of the Etang de Berre: the Tétrodon. It was awarded the ‘20th century heritage’ label by the DRAC in 2012, and will become the property of the town of Martigues in 2019 following its restoration.

Labeled "remarkable contemporary architecture", the Tétrodon is a mobile and modular habitat installed on the banks of the Etang de Berre. This visit invites you to discover this unique object, designed in the 1970s, intended to house Sonacotra workers and rediscovered in Fos-sur-Mer in 2011.

This Tétrodon is the result of an order from Sonacotra in 1972 for 32 6-metre models to house workers building the SOLMER (Arcelor Mittal) steelworks in Fos-sur-Mer.
This 10-metre model is the only one from that order.
