In his sensual, colourful novel "Vincent, un épisode méconnu de la vie de Van Gogh", Vladimir Biaggi sheds light on a little-known episode in Van Gogh's life. The author will give a presentation at the Médiathèque Louis Aragon in Martigues.
Free admission.
At the end of the 19th century, a painter then (little) known by the name of Vincent, whose works he signed, settled in Arles, having abandoned Paris.
He had a project in mind: he wanted to paint a deep, still, transparent blue, the one that had troubled him in the paintings of Félix Ziem.

The investigation led by Vladimir Biaggi can now begin! Ziem lives not far from Arles, in Martigues, in his studio-mosque with minarets, where he paints his Orientalist works.
Vincent set off for Martigues, by stagecoach and then on foot, in the hope of finding the man he considered his "master" and discovering the secret of his blue.
Opening period (s)Saturday 1st of June 2024 between 4 pm and 5.30 pm.
