David Bobée likes to put classic texts to the test. Now director of the Théâtre du Nord, the prolific director once again takes hold of a great classic and gives us a critical reading of Molière's text.

"Each scene that makes up this piece represents something that we are fighting against today, classism, sexism, glottophobia, domination in all its forms... To seize this piece is to seek to answer a question which animates the public debate: should we unbolt the statues whose stories encumber us? Should the texts of the repertoire be rewritten? The bias here is to stage them, to contextualize them, to give them a critical reading, perhaps in fine to better symbolically get rid of them. »
