Because of the richness of the subjects developed, the Tuesday meetings are a precious mine of cultural and historical information. A cultural and human adventure, they enhance the multiple facets of the region and give the inhabitants back their territory and their history.
- Tuesday 18 April at 6 pm: Latest archaeological discoveries in Les Laurons.
Meeting with archaeologists from the Drassm (Department of Underwater Archaeological Research).
Since 2020, underwater archaeological excavations have resumed in the Laurons cove. This evening will present the new analyses carried out on the port structures of Antiquity thanks to current technologies and will highlight the discovery of a previously unknown wreck from the Middle Ages.
- Tuesday 16 May at 6 pm: A passive defence trench at Jonquières.
Meeting with Hélène Marino, archaeologist from the Art, History and Archaeology Department.
During the summer of 2022, rehabilitation work on the former Jourde asylum uncovered the remains of a World War II underground shelter designed to protect civilians in the event of bombing.

This is an opportunity to evoke this part of the history of Martigues through archaeology.
