Alain Sauvan has been surveying the territory of the Etang de Berre since childhood.
He returned there in the 1970s and began to fix in photography the relationship that the population developed with industry.

A first exhibition in 2007 at the Ziem museum, then a presentation within the framework of Marseille-Provence 2013, allow us to appreciate the evolution of his work.
Today, after more than 40 years of observation, the photographer invites us to take a look at a rapidly changing space.
With nearly 103 photographs, the Alain Sauvan, production and dispossessions exhibition not only offers an observation but also raises many questions.
Between testimony and plastic research, the photographer's work appears above all as a tribute to the pond, its history and its inhabitants.
Guided tours for individuals: Sundays October 18, November 29, December 27 and January 31 at 4 p.m.
