For her new creation, Catherine Marnas takes over the piece A Bright Room Called Day by Tony Kushner.

This New York author, distinguished by the Pulitzer Prize with Angels in America, signs here a text with surprising political topicality.

One New Year's Eve, young people from artistic backgrounds laugh at Hitler's meteoric rise. For them he is just a puppet that will never pass and when the bad joke comes true, the group explodes. Tony Kushner superimposes space-time, mixing small and big history, from Hitler to Donald Trump.
This text meets the obsession of Catherine Marnas for the "progressive slips" of European democracies towards values of the extreme right. A powerful work that must be heard in Europe.
