Disability awareness for children by volunteers from the Chrysalide association.
In the program :
Search for a definition of disability followed by four workshops.
- Three workshops, discovery of the “hearing”, “touch” and “smell” senses The children wear a blindfold throughout the activity.
- A workshop, "moving", mini sports activity
At the end of the workshop, the children will share their feelings and difficulties encountered.
The topics covered are:
- Hearing: we broadcast or emit different sounds and noises that children must recognize.
- Touch: we circulate in each group, different objects of daily life.
- Smell: the adult leader smells different fruits, herbs or plants.
- Travel: football, blindfolded, blind.
The objectives are to evoke the daily difficulties of people with disabilities, to change the way we look at "Difference", to demystify it, to understand it and to "live" it through fun activities. Children being more receptive and spontaneous, they are privileged in these sessions open to all.
